At Abbey Cross Lodge, we provide more than just a place to stay—we offer a warm, secure, and vibrant home where residents feel truly valued and cared for. With locations in Ruimsig, Nooitgedagt, Mountainview, and Northriding, our homes are designed to cater to a variety of needs, from assisted living to mid-frail care, ensuring that every resident receives the right level of support in a compassionate and dignified environment.

Our beautiful, serene gardens are home to a variety of animals, including horses, chickens, ducks, peacocks, cats, and dogs, bringing joy and companionship to our residents. We believe in the therapeutic power of nature and animals, offering unique experiences such as horse therapy (Only at Northriding Branch), where residents can interact with and care for these gentle creatures, fostering a sense of purpose and connection.

To keep our residents active and engaged, we provide daily exercise programs, including walks, Pilates, and Brain Gym, all designed to improve mobility, cognitive function, and overall well-being. Additionally, daily massages help relieve tension, enhance circulation, and promote relaxation.

Beyond physical wellness, our community thrives on fun and stimulating activities such as bingo, Scrabble, bowling, coloring, painting, word searches, and music therapy. These activities encourage creativity, social interaction, and mental agility, ensuring that no day feels dull or empty.

At Abbey Cross Lodge, we are deeply committed to person-centered care, focusing on preserving dignity, independence, and quality of life for each individual. Our professional and compassionate team ensures that every resident receives personalized attention in a culturally-sensitive, safe, and welcoming atmosphere. Whether at our cottages in Ruimsig and Nooitgedagt or our homes in Mountainview and Northriding, we provide a nurturing space where residents can thrive with companionship, care, and joy.

Welcome to Abbey Cross Lodge—a place where care meets comfort, and every day is filled with meaning.

“The disease might hide the person underneath, but there’s still a person in there who needs your love and attention.”
